“My goal is to create beautiful art that inspires viewers to perceive nature and the world in unique and innovative ways. My pieces reflect exactly who I am; creative, sensitive and dynamic.”
Propelled by a long-term fascination with her own culture, Miami-based multimedia artist Juliana Aragao combines painting, photography, illustration, design, and organic objects into her artistic creations. She explores the state of being and the remaining pure traces of nature in her creative process. Each collection consists of multiple works, often created in a range of media, textures, and dimensions. Instead of recreating a landscape or a garden, Juliana aims to express nature’s essence in abstract form. Like nature, the modern world is continuously in the state of evolution. As an artist, she instinctually feels the need to follow this natural process.
Juliana Aragao was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1987. She received her degree in advertising, graphic design and studio art from the University of Miami. During her studies she experienced life abroad in Florence, New York, and Geneva, where nature became her inspiration in art and in life. Juliana traveled the world assisting world-renowned artist Romero Britto to create and execute various endeavors.
In 2011, Juliana partnered with Venezuelan artist Ramon Aular to open Jurarte Studio. Recently, she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, locally and internationally. Currently, Juliana lives and works in Miami.
